Clay limestone and marl soil.
Grape variety
30% Syrah, 30% Grenache, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot.
Vinification and maturing
Harvested late August. Mechanical harvests at night with staling under neutral gas to prevent the oxidation of the juice. Cold settling. Each grape is vinified separately. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel.
Winemaking temperature between 15°C to 18°C.
Long maceration aging in new oak barrels for 6 months.
Tasting notes
Intense purple red color. Complex nose with hints of red berries and cocoa. Frankly and generously attack in the palate with a very nice concentrate and a soft tannin. The hints of red berries mixed with notes of spices and liquorice. Very nice length in the final, powerful and elegant at the same time, which suggests a potential of guard between 5 and 8 years.
Food pairing
Perfectly with a platter of lamb.
